Stockwood Open Space is a fascinating blend of old meadows, hedgerows and woodlands on former farmland with panoramic views of south Bristol.

The many things to do and see include the ‘Open Space’ itself – the protected hillside and meadows that stretch down to Brislington. You can also visit the hillside and playing fields between upper and lower Stockwood, or visit the Stockwood Open Space Orchard, where you just might find a massive crop of apples there for the taking!.’

The Sturminster Valley has a beautiful tree-lined brook flowing north from the Saltwell Viaduct. Also visit the Whitchurch Way, a picturesque scene of the former railway path, offering walkers and cyclists a green escape from the traffic on the main roads.’
